Hello guys, I have an old Nepalese passport which hasn't expired. I have to renew it to get MRP passport for abroad processing. So please help me with the procedure of renewing it to MRP passport. Thanks |
Hi ladipma, Even if your old (handwritten) passport has not been expired, from now on, you must have a MRP in order to travel abroad according to ICAO. So, I would suggest you to follow the given steps to get a new MRP. 1. Duly fill up a MRP application form. ( you can find it online at www.nepalpassport.gov.np ) 2. Attach a required sized photograph. ( you can see the specifications of the photograph at www.nepalpassport.gov.np ) 3. If you want to go for normal service, you have to apply ( along with the duly filled up form and your old passport) via CDO Office from where your citizenship card is issued, fees is Nrs.5000. and it would take a month or two for your MRP to get delivered to you. 4. If you want to apply MRP in fast track service( MRP within a day- pay Nrs. 15000, MRP in 2 days - pay Nrs.12,000 and MRP in 3 days - pay Nrs.10,000) go to Department of Passport, Narayanhiti and remember "District Verification Letter" of CDO Office from where your citizenship card is issued is mandatory. |
