Which music instrument or guitar shop is good or would you recommend located in Kathmandu?

I am planning to buy an electric guitar. But of course everybody wants them in at least reasonable price as well as customer care. So it would be great help for me if you share your experience about your visit and purchase at particular shop.

Thanks

Hello bidhya-rai,

About 7 or 8 years ago, I visited Deep Music, New Road to see few guitars for the first time. But I was kind of like annoyed. I was about to pick up a guitar to try it out, but a loud voice with disrespectful tone came out of nowhere telling me not to pick it up. I assumed it was an owner and his regular talking tone and why he was telling me that because customers can be way to careless. But still I was annoyed an left the shop without even looking. Even now I am afraid to visit the shop.

Tone music store was great, but unfortunately it's closed permanently.

Recently, I just bought a guitar through hamrobazaar.com (R&R Music House) in a reasonable price. They are purely online. They supply genuine music instrument. But the downside is you can't try any instrument and they don't have retail shop. Once you open up the box, that means you have purchased the item. Click here to go to their hamrobazaar page to find items or contact them.

Now, I am planning to buy multi effects pedal, have been looking online for weeks. I found Guitar Zone, Jawalakhel very impressive. They have retail store as well to try it out and sells in reasonable price as well. They sell mostly western brands like Fender, Ibanez, PRS, etc. Click here to visit their Facebook page and contact them. They have delivery service as well, but with a cost.

Guitar Shop is most popular among them. They do have reasonable price as well. But they seem to sell Asian brands products like JOYO, Aria Guitars, etc. Click here visit their Facebook page and contact them.

For me, I choose Guitar Zone. It's because I would like to review online thoroughly about items first and decide whether to buy or not. Asian brands often don't have reviews in Youtube or else where. So I will not know what exactly I am buying. If you on the budget, go for Asian brands. But don't hesitate to try it out, even if it is for hours. Look out in daraz.com.np or hamrobazaar.com as well. You may find your item in cheapest price possible as well.
